Where to get free Applications for Blackberry 8700c?

Some applications are directly available from your service provider. You can access them using a Web icon in your main menu. Then you can download and install them.

This will depend on the service provider you have. For instance, I have a Telus Blackberry and I do not have access to free applications (as far as I know...). My colleague has a Rogers Blackerry. He had access to a free chess game... :( Too bad for me!
