For the most part, I think that his age is irrelevant. Now, men in general wearing earrings - at any age - might be a different question altogether, as we see from the various opinions posted so far, some relevant, but many not.
I would suggest that the appropriateness of a man wearing an earring, and how it suits him would depend on the man: whether wearing one fits his personality, whether it suits his position at his place of employment, whether he's worn one for a few years already or if we're talking about something new, how it suits his outside interests (i.e. the average "biker" type versus the local mall Santa :)... and yes, an earring seems to look better and have a different affect on the image of some men of certain races.
I guess we could always ask someone like Mr. T. :) ...but then I'm sure he would say for the man to do as he darn well pleases. :) Perhaps the man in question is encountering objections from those closest to him? If so, I wonder if they should be looking inward for why they feel a need to change him. The most important question is how does he feel about his earring and his reasons for wearing one?

It all depends on the ear ring. I wouldn't recommend some big dangly thing, but... I wear a small stud with either a 3mm ball, a 4mm VW emblem or a little fireball, all stainless. I should also mention that I wear no other jewelery except eyeglasses and a watch, both black.
Most people don't even notice that I have one and those that do generally compliment me them, at least the VW emblem and fireball.

A 2 year old "man" is too old, a 15 year old, any man is too old to wear an earring.

If you have to ask that question, then no you are not too old because you are not mature enough to know what is acceptable to people who respect their body and God enough to value what is right for a man. "Doesn't nature itself teach a man that it is a shame for a man to have long hair?" How much more so jewelry which is for women. Get some testosterone, be manly, and have character rather than jewelry.

Screw the conservatives. Men have been wearing earrings as long as women have, and far far back before A.D. If you want to wear an earring, wear one. Who cares what other people think. :) If you don't like it, just take it off.

very solid. It fairly is going to instruct how people who attempt to makes issues extra useful can certainly finally end up making them worse. possibly it became merely somewhat an exaggeration with the aspirin, I doubt you may get in any hassle for that, yet I accept as true with what you're attempting to assert. what's that this international coming to? truthfully one glace at our rapidly deteriorating international could say that we are doing something incorrect.

No. If you like it, it will look fine. The people that say no are probably 15 yrs old, and hang out with their friends at the mall with FUBU cloths on anyway.

It has nothing to do with your age, and everything to do with the fact that you are a man. Lose the earring.
