Which is the name of the era we are living in? What kind of name will the history books have for this era?

The era or age isn't determined until after the era passes. For instance, people didn't know they were in the Renaissance, they just did what was fashonable and made sense.
But terms like the Information Age, the Computer Age, the Space Age, and so on have been passed around.

We're in Ages now. This is the Information Age, the prior one was the Space Age.
