I want to know the price a builder would charge and the cost of permits, etc. in Bellaire, Texas (if possible). I do not need the price of the land included.

Like the guy who answered 2 answers up, I hate it when people get stuck on advertising their own companies while answering questions, a clear violation of the policy here. To answer your question, it could be 100k to 900k, it completely depends on the type of labor, materials, and upgrades. You are in Houston, the same market that I work in, and as an appraiser, I've seen all ranges. Just shop around a lot and get the best deal. Good luck!

In the TX market, you are far better off building a nice home - versus one just for the "ticket price". New homes always costs more than expected or the builder starts cutting corners to keep things in line.

Do your homework - would another pricey, overbuilt house with marble countertops (not unique), small 2-car garage and high ceilings(high utility bills) really fit into where you live? Put your personal and professional goals in order, then decide carefully.

Good luck...

There are many programs that will provide you 100% financing for the build if you own the land. This is available as interest only and staged as the construction requires it so you only pay interest on what is used.
