I'm a small guy. 5'2", 105 pounds. i'm also on the sophmore football team, although it is no cut. the thing that got me to join football was the glory of the game. every single play, i go hard. yeah, i get decked, but i'm a running back, so i'm used to it. goin up against guys that outweigh me by as much as 200 pounds, it's scary. but when i'm lined up behind my fullback, i don't have time to think about that. i'm too worried about how much the coach is going to yell at me if i hit the wrong hole, or if the wrong hand is up for the handoff. when i get the ball, i go strait forward into the hole and get decked.

the one thing that pisses me off more than wussies on the team are hot shots that don't play that claim they can. i tell them to go out for football becasue it's the only sport where the point is to run into guys and rock them.

and it's fun.
that's why i play.
why do you ?

I'll answer this differently. I PLAYED in high school and four years in college. I loved to play because of two things:
1) I loved playing for a winner. In High School I played for a top ranked team in the state and in college I played for a top 10 team (NCAA Div. III). I was always afraid of failure, I feared failing the most.
2) I loved Contact, more like a collision. I played Defensive end. We ran a 40 defense and my job was to just blow things up. If a team ran a power play (where the FB came to kick me out) I loved nothing more than to just wrong arm/stuff the Fb back into his own TB and the TB had no where to go but to our LB's who were scraping over top. I didn't even care if I made the tackle. I just loved to blow the FB up. I loved it and miss it.

nothing. I'm 46 years old and, have been a mover for 23 of those.
I would have to go somewhere and, work out for 3 or, 4 months, just to build up enough energy to have a heart attack!
