Go to a knowlegable obgyn., exchange refined sugars, for complex carbohydrates such as whole wheat bread instead of whote bread. Stay away from high sugar foodstuffs such as soft drinks, ketchup (55% sugar), candy, etc. Avoid excessive weight gain. Try daily walks at a slow pace for about 20 minutes. Get a lot of rest and take vitamins with minerals supplements daily. consult your obstetrition about which product to use. Your condition is controllable but if neglected could develop into a condition called pre-eclampsia, and eclampsia. (not too common but very serious).
Good luck with your pregnancy, and your new child. (I wish I could do it all over again).
Doc. Dan.

During your pregnancy until your baby is born your glucose levels are going to continue to increase. You have to stay in close touch with your physician because your insulin will have to be readjusted often especially in your second trimester.
Don't adjust your insulin yourself...you could take too much and become hypoglycemic which is just as bad for your baby as high blood sugar.
Talk to your doctor asap!

Oh, and when your baby is born your diabetes will go away. So hang in there!
