Stop smoking. A yucky smell when you get home from work is the least of your worries if you continue smoking. I'm a "quitter", so this is not from some pristine tree-hugger. It's not easy, but if you make it a goal to stop and allow yourself to gather the information you need, you'll be able to give it up someday. Good luck.

the only thank you to do away with tobacco scent is to give up smoking. in case you and your companion give up smoking, it is going to take months for the stink to bypass away your domicile. Nicotine and tar have already penetrated each and every floor at your residence - tables, partitions, curtains, furniture, to not point out your outfits, which you already understand approximately. changing the throws, commencing domicile windows, spraying with in spite of heavily will not make a distinction. i don't understand why you're ashamed of the scent. You scent a similar thank you to those who do not smoke. Do your self and everybody else a favour, and attempt to offer up mutually as you nevertheless have your wellbeing. If i will do it, all and various can do it.

Yeah, Nicorette and commitment. Worked for us.
(PS - if you really want to see what ends up in your lungs, hang a white sheet for a week in the room you smoke most in. Then throw it in the washer. Before the rinse cycle, take a measuring cup of the water out - *that's* what smokers inhale - and what second-hand smoke victims inhale!)

Febreeze, or if it is really bad leave a small bottle of bleach with the cap off overnight. Slight bleachy smell that will go away but the chlorine absorbs odors.

I am also a smoker. Me and my mother put 1-3 bottles of cheep cooking vanilla and water (about 1/2 and 1/2) and simmer on the stove as long as you like. Usually couple of hours. It will work!!

The Ionic Breeze air purifier from the Sharper Image is awesome. It's expensive but it works. I put one in the spare bedromm and shut the door. The next day I walked in and the air smelled fresh and clean like after it's rained.

Nicotine clings to the ceiling, walls and furniture. We have had to wash everything down with simple green to get rid of it.
