You are justified in your criticism of young people affiliating themselves with dubious organizations. Our public school systems conduct classes in chaos rivaled only by a drunken crowd at a sporting event. Indifferent politicians are nothing new, and it would probably destroy you faith in government altogether to know what kind of left handed deals are cut even to get a bill introduced. The way to change that, of course, is at the polls, provided you can convince enough people there's a problem and then get them off the duffs to go vote.
Rich countries, some of them, are trying to do something about underprivileged nations. They pump big money into the World Bank whose sole mission is to foster industry in poor countries. Part of the problem is, that while a nation's leadership (which more than once has simply pocketed the funds it was loaned) may want a factory built, the general populace, who have subsisted off a tiny piece of land for generations want no part of urban life and being paid in currency that they can't manage and living in an apartment with electricity that they can't fathom.
The reason people, at least Americans, stay in their boxes is because they're comfortable. You'll find that the vast majority, so long as they can feed, clothe, and house their families are quite satisfied, and not only don't want change but will actively resist it. Good luck finding support, and god help you at the first hint of difficulty.
In short, egalitarian initiatives are damned hard to get off the ground, and harder still to keep in the air. But, don't give up, it's people who see the problems and have the determination to correct them who collectively move us along, however slowly the moving goes.

Those of us who are suffering from growing pains always question the status quo. If you didn't ask about the status quo, you'd be an idiot. However, there is very little we can do to change the status quo, except to be the very best human being we are capable of being. The starting AND ending place is within ourselves. Good question. Continue thinking, and expanding your mind. lol

It's easy to do nothing and accept the status quo, and as a general rule, people like to do things that are easy.
Being vocal and opposing things can also make someone enemies, and that's not easy to deal with either.

I am very real and an individual.. It is great to be open and voice views and have ideas. The HARD part is that we are a minority and it is soooo hard to create change. It can be done but so many people do not have the spirit nor momentum

Because people are too afraid of standing on their own 2 feet and think they will be more 'popular' if they go along with the crowd. They want to be with the 'in' crowd.
A lot of politicians do it to get votes and further their careers.

A lot of people are scared that if they speak out other people will not like them. I think it is dumb. So when I disagree with someone, or something I let everyone know. Other people will start to follow, eventually!
