I'm facinated with the subject of facial recognition.
Prosopagnosia, also called face blindness, is an impairment in the recognition of facial characteristics. It is usually due to stokes or other injury to the brain.
I am especially interested as to how it applies to autism. The autistic brain view faces in a different way than the average person - more like a victum of prosopagnosia.

Psychology is a wide field. Where should your research be? Social Psychology, Cognitive?
I think it can't be wrong looking at achieving some sort of improvement in Mental Health services in research, maybe: What are the long-term consequences of long waiting times for mental health services for patients?
What psychological problems are created by call-center work?

The question is do more men or woman dream at night OR which gender has more dreams per evening. Have 2 groups say 5-10 each male and female and base your conclusion on their answers.

Sometimes you wont always find the information you want in books.Visit the fashion shops and write to the companies that design clothes. Your idea is a good one so stick with it.You just need to go that extra mile and think outside the square with this research.

I did a really fun project for my psych a level. We analysed lonely hearts adverts. We looked at only hetero ads, and examined:
Men's descriptions of themselves (e.g. tall, dark, handsome, rich man seeks...)
Men's stipulations about their new partners (...seeks professional woman in the London area)
And then the same for women.
We categorised what they offer and ask for. Stuff like:
physical characteristics, age, geographical area, money-related, work-related, hobbies...
Then we counted how many of each type of thing there were;
e.g. men tend to describe the physical characteristics they look for in a woman, but if you look at how women write their ads, they tend not to describe their physical characteristics - they talk about their profession and interests. On the other hand, women tend to describe the age and career of the type of man they want, but men are more concerned about their date's age and geographical location. Stuff like that. This shows a mismatch in how men think about women and how women think about men.

How about affects of nurture on academic performance?
Do you have to do the research yourself, or based on previous studies?
