St. Thomas Aquinas had 5 arguments for the existence of God. The one that uses this world as its basis is called the argument from degrees of perfection. In other words you can observe things around you and realize that certain things are more beautiful than others. So for any quality like beauty, goodness, etc there has to be a perfect standard that all other things are based on. This perfection exists in God. The other argument that deals with the world would be the argument from intelligent design which states that by looking at patterns, physical laws, DNA, and other complex aspects that it must have been designed by an Intelligent creator or God.
