Sorry to bust your bubble but most of us homosexuals could care less about you breeders knowing whether we are gay or not. Yes some do announce and those are the type who starve attention. Actually, your (straight) kind are the ones who stereotype about gay people especially in movies or television shows. They characterize homosexuals as if we all dress in women's clothing and wear make-up, swing our hips and whatever your kind come up with. In fact, there's more of us out there who are more the type that you cannot tell at all. Don't know about the gay guys you've been hanging out with but my friends and I are more masculine than most so-called straight guys walking around holding hands with their girlfriend on the street. Like they say, the only difference between a gay guy and a straight guy is a six pack.

You announce it every single day, you just don't know it. You ham it up with your demeanor, your gait, the way you slam down a beer, the way you relate with other men and the way you relate with women. You announce it and want everyone around you to know that you are straight. Otherwise, why would you have even asked this question?

Well, you just contradicted yourself... and I don't agree with your statement. I've never met anyone that has openly announced to people that they are gay. If a guy casually mentions his boyfriend to an acquaintance... or even a stranger, that is not "hamming it up". That is pride. Being proud of yourself shouldn't be considered a negative thing.

Not every homosexual has the urge to run around and announce and parade around that they are gay. Im gay, and I dont do that and I know plenty and am friends with plenty of people that do not.
Some homosexuals are just more flamboyant and feel it needs to be known. Just like there are straight men out there that feel it is in the best intrest for everyone else out there to absolutely KNOW that they are straight...

We are not announcing anything, it is just our one day a year. Can't we just have that? People talk about their straight relationships all the time and we should be allowed to be who we are and allowed to talk about our b/f's and g/f's without being accused of ramming it down other people's throats. Peace.

Ever talk about your girlfriend, wife, whatever in public? Ever hold hands, hug, kiss said girlfriend/wife in public? Ever wear a wedding ring or something like that to signify your relationship to those around you?

I'll tell you what, you and the rest of heterosexual society stop doing this, and I'll stop "announcing" that I'm a lesbian.

Deal??

Or do you see this as an infringement on your rights?? If you do, then welcome to my world.

ok... first off, I dont think most gays would tell everyone about their sexuality (just like most straights).
If gays feel they have to tell someone about their sexuality, that's because people usually assume most people are straight, thats why they need to clear it up!
I think you just go hamming around about you being straight!

Gee, why do bigots feel the need to announce it?

It's somewhat ironic that you feel the need to try to convince us you are straight. Feeling a little insecure in your sexuality are you?

If you attempted to be accepting toward others it just might make you a happier person.

I know what you're saying. I don't feel that everybody has to know I'm gay. But I'm not going to sit on my natural exhuberance just because some people prefer to be sedate.

And then there's this other thing: gay people keep getting beat up on, murdered, deprived of rights other people enjoy, fired from jobs, thrown out of homes ...

Would you say, why do black people have to be so black, can't they just act whiter? Uh huh ... Why not?
