I guess in your mind, two wrongs make a right. I say this because you are wrong on both counts.

The North Dallas Tollways are owned and operated by the North Texas Tollway Authority, a segment of the State of Texas government.

The Panama Canal is owned by the Panamanians, the Chinese have a long term contract to operate the container shipping ports on either end of the canal. They gain no income from the operating of the canal itself.

My opinion would be to get your information correct before asking a question.

Chicago's Toll Roads have been sold. And just this year, Indiana struck a deal with a foriegn consortium to lease our Toll Road for 75 years. Bush was thinking very seriously of selling our ports to outsiders as well. Those who lead us are selling us out. Huge corporations are relocating overseas for tax relief, lower wage output, and higher profit margins. Greed is driving us into the ground.
Our domestic economy cannot support all the sellouts forever. Eventually, we the people will pay for this. Many already are. Yet our leaders, paint a rosy picture, that the economy is doing just fine. As more and more fall through the cracks, Bush says he is for less government, when in reality he is pushing for less and less governmental responsibility. So we are on our own folks.

The Dallas freeway is not a problem, that is a legitimate business and we live in a global economy, like it or not. I do business on a daily basis with Japan, Korea Great Britain, Malaysia and Hong Kong, that is just how it is.

The Panama Canal was given away as a present by they great incompetent fool Jimmy Carter, you know him he is the guy who bashed the US to win the Nobel Prize, gave us the current terrorist situation and approved Hugo Chavez election; for only $10 million. Giving away the canal was a way to get the Panamanians to love us. It worked well didn't it? We went to war with Panama after we gave them the canal. Appeasers to today's terrorists make note, giving things away does not make people love you, it is hard to love a fool.

The issue that makes that Canal different is that the canal was built for strategic interests and we gave it to our enemies

Yeah remember how down here in Miami we were trying to sell the Port of Miami to the Arabs. And Bush was all for it. But we raised such a stink that they had to call it off. They probably own a lot of stuff herre in america. We just dont know about it yet. Americans will sell their mother's soul for a nickel if it made them a profit.

I believe that politicians who do this sort of thing deserve a swift kick in the @ss. The short sightedness of this is so harmful for future generations, and all we see are short term benefits for fiscally irresponsible politicians, with no fiscal discipline.
These people should be forced to keep their feet to the fire in resolving short term fiscal problems. The quickest way is to reduce payrolls and freeze pay raises to municipal and county employees. To often these politicians want to raise property taxes or state income taxes, but rarely do you hear their laundry list of expense cuts.
