How long does a peson have to be single to be gay?

No ... and as many said ... being single doesn't necessarily make a person gay.
Whether being straight or gay; that's a matter of choice.
One can be straight and single or gay and single.
Though I totally disagree with the gay lifestyle, it was and is a choice that person made to be gay.
Similarly ... being straight and single is that person's choice.

How does being single make someone gay????!
It doesn't. You're either gay or not. Having a boyfriend or girlfriend won't prevent you from being gay if that is what you are, and being single won't make you gay if you are straight.
Some people might wonder about an individual's sexual orientation if they are single, but it does not automatically mean one thing or another - just that there is not someone around in whom they are interested or that there is no one who is interested back. In such situations, some people experiement with same sex relationships, but that does not make them gay, it is more of an exploration of one's sexuality and an attempt to find someone to help you burn off sexual tension (whether you are really attracted to their gender/them or not).

Lol...no definately not. A person can be single for years and years and not be gay... its all about finding someone that they really like or have things in common with... it has nothing to do with being gay. Im gay; I would know.

There's no correlation between being single and being a gay. Someone who's gay can be in a relationship. Someone who's single can be straight.

As long as it takes! Being single doesn't make people gay at all. There are other issues that can add to being single-insecurity, shyness, to name a few.

You dont have to be single to be gay, if you are gay you will know it. Im bi, and i have known it for 3 years now and still havent done anything about it. If your gay, dont be affraid.

being single doesnt make you gay being single makes you free or in some cases lonely
