Crush them. You can get a pill crusher for a couple dollars at a drug store. You can even sprinkle them in apple sauce or pudding.

You need prenatal vitamins prescribed by your doctor, because you need the folic acid in them.

A very good substitute for pre-natal vitamins is a really healthy, well balanced diet and exercize. If you're healthy and living a healthy life you don't need to take prenatal vitamins. You and your baby can both get all that you need from food. Be sure to eat a lot of dark green veggies, whole grains, beans and nuts and you'll get plenty of folic acid and iron.

Good luck with your baby! Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy!! Have fun!

The Ensure helps, there also may be some chewable or liquid vitamines that you can ask your Dr. about. A really healthy diet also helps. Those pre-natal vits are such horse pills.

I also cant swallow pills (I gag and choke until they're out of my mouth) then your always left with the pleasant taste of YUK! I went to the health stores and found every liquid vitamin suppliment they had. I got one called Floravital (which everyone says is the foulest thing they have ever had) but I loved it hehehe, it kept me awake at nights if I had too much, so every second day worked for me... and I found a few others to help with pregnancy and iron levels... if you look around you'll find heaps.

There are some liquid vitamins you could take. Pre-natal vitamins are important, so it's better to take that than nothing.

You definitely should ask your doctor. Yes, there are liquid forms of many multi-vitamins and I would hope there was a good form of liquid pre-natal vitamin you could find.

Finite Wisdom couldn't have said it any better.
Forget everything that everyone here told you (even though I'm sure that some of it is good advise).... and go back to your doctor and ask him/her! Why do people think that this is WEBMD? We're a bunch of "regular" people with differing opinions and ideas who have nothing to gain or lose by giving people advise. You're pregnant. Don't be getting your medical advise in Yahoo!Answers.

You can chew two flinstone vitamins and it will give you all of the nutrients you need.
Ensure is also full of nutrients.. so as long as you are drinking that I wouldn't worry to much.. I'm sure you are fine.

Congrats to you and the baby.

There are chewables. You can ask you doctor about taking a children's gummy vitiman, but if you do that you may have to increase foods in your diet rich in fats, folice acid, and iron. Just tell your doctor. he or she can help find a suitable substitute.
