I mean, everybody knows it is a failure so why don't they bring it back together.

Why did they split in the first place?

due to the big amount of top superstars the WWE needed to split the company in brands thats because if they continued running all in the same show they would have to fire too much of those superstars. Also they did it because when wwe bought WCW they eliminated all the competition so they need to bring that environmet to the company again.

The split was done for a lot of reasons, but the main one was to give new wrestlers a chance to shine and have some exposure on national tv. Back in the day when Raw and SD was one roster, the top guys would get spotlight on both shows, and the young guys coming from OVW would get a shot or two and that was it and if they screwed up then they would be let go and never heard from again. Well Vince wanted to change that and also to create his own competition so having two brands would do that.

As for making money, well that doesnt come into effect as they had both shows since 1999 and they both made money, but people want to see the two brands come together and be one roster again.

So here is what I think they should do:

Have it be one roster again, and keep ECW but make it totally seperate and then add a show on Wednesday or Thrusday so young guys could still get a shot at WWE and be on tv all at the same time.

When the WWE aquired both ECW and WCW in early 2001, the "invasion" took place to cover the buy out in a storyline. So the WWE had a huge surge in new talent, people like Rey Mysterio, Rob Van Dam, Booker T, etc. All of those guys came from the buy out and from WCW and ECW, so after the invasion storyline was over the WWE took on a "brand extension." This was basically a mock draft were different superstars were "drafted" to different shows, Raw and Smackdown.

Its not really a failure in the eyes of WWE corporate, and the shareholders, because ever since the buyout the WWE has grossed alot of money. Through movies like See No Evil, and the upcoming Marine. Also they have experienced a huge surge in popularity over seas. The WWE has recently visited the Phillipines, and they make regular visits to Europe.

But its understandable that the fans dont like the split.
I dont like the split. It kinda sucks that you dont get to see the dream fights. Batista, Cena. Undertaker, and a DX feud again would be cool. Even worse think about all those people who dont have cable, and cant watch Raw. That has to suck.

when WWE brought WCW it created too large of a roster for one show. The wrestlers wouldn't be able to get equal time so they split them into two groups. And so that the people don't get bored with watching the same talent on the same show, every year they hold a lottery draft and switch the talent from SmackDown to Raw. That's why Kane is on SmackDown now and Cena who was on SmackDown went to Raw.

To create the illusion of variety, WWE split into:

Monday Night Jaw
WWE Talkdown!
Extremely Conversational Wrestling

Since they purchased out all the other viable wrestling organizations WWE almost instantly become boring and homogenous, so to create an illusion of different options, they divided their huge roster of actors into 3 different soap operas, listed above.

To make more money for the promoters, arena owners, and wrestlers from idiots like you who watch this fake crap. It's not like the old days with Gorgeous George, Bobo Brazil, Jimmy Snuka, etc. These guys are the worst wrestlers (if you can call them that) I have ever seen. They are nothing but thugs!

I will say, for commercial purposes.... its like expanding your company...... by doing so, WWE is like dominating this industry.... The company have constantly promoting new wrestler will still keeping the old ones..... Creating the next batch or new blood requires more space (Since there could only be one utimate champion, etc)

Fans like to see new things, expanding will means more shows for them. One example will be using wrestler from both sides to fight against each other.... best against the best.... isn't it worth seeing??
