People are able to go online and search their area and other areas to see where the sexual predators, if any, live near them. Do you think it is okay for people to see if any sex offenders live near them, even if they are one-time offenders who committed their crime 30 years ago? It seems almost like an invasion of privacy. What about ex cons, like murders, burglars, etc?

That is the price they pay for ever crossing the line. Society has the right to protect their little children. Personallly, I would make sure the pervy knew I'd blow him away if he or she came near my family.

Personally, I think it is a wonderful idea, and so what if they loose their privacy, they committed a horrible act. And in many states you can look up offenders of murder, robbery, etc. And their pictures are posted on the web also. They just group all of the sex offenders together. I do not feel sorry forr them. However, I do have empathy for their victims who must live with a life sentence for the crimes that were perpetrated against them at the hands fo these animals. Best that society knows where they are and best for them to be registered. Sure makes them easier to find if they looking for them. Considering the fact that it is said that pedophiles can not be cured of their urges. Personally, I wouldn't mind paying taxes to keep them in their for life. God Bless

Yes. No question. Absolutely. I sure don't want them living next door to me - nor does any other mother. Sexual predators CAN NOT change their spots. It's proven. I don't want a burglar or murderer either - but most murderers do so only once - then they're dead or in jail or killed in jail. Burglars are what alarm systems and "Sprouts" are for. And most of them don't make a habit of it or THEY'D be in jail.
The sentencing guidelines for sexual predators are WAY too short and no child should have their entire life ruined by a whack job.

well think about it like this, if you do the research before we came over powered by the government, if you stole, they cut a finger off, and guess what, people knew if you seen someone missing a finger they must had stole something. Eye for an eye, except it matched the punishment, so ya kinda knew... We have a right to protect our children... Anyone who thinks different need to talk to a doctor cause thats basically saying, go sexually attack kids.

I receive News Letters about any sex offender moving in or out of my neighborhood. If you commit a crime...especially one like that....i don`t think you should have ANY rights at all. We have to protect our children why would I give a crap about a pedophiles feelings? I don`t think Pedophiles can be "cured" anyway. They are mentally disturbed. I have not heard of any child molester who did it once and then never again...
