This school shooting garbage is out of control! We need action on this NOW!!! Parents are keeping our children out of schools for fear of them being hurt. Our children are our future! This can't go on. Our leaders need to put the party bullsh*t and bickering aside sit down and start coming up with some possible solutions to this problem as one shooting is too many and until they do it will only get worse. What have any of our leaders come up with to solve this? We have to demand it because we cant have our future generations either not going to school or being afraid while they are there. Anyone have any ideas on what we as citizens could do?

Start holding the parents accountable for a minors actions? YES!! I like it. If it EVER comes to the point my child has to wear a bulletproof vest or be taught by a teacher who has a gun I will move away and NEVER look back.

be a real parent to your child , it is not the government's responsibility to rear your child in a proper manner. parent's today expect to hold everyone accountable for their child's well being except them selves. when a minor child commits a crime the parents should be held responsible.

There is no overnight solution to this problem. When I went to school, the worse thing that happened was an ocassional fist fight. HHHHHMMMMMMMMM what has changed since then? 1. no discipline in school, going to the office is a joke now.
2. The ten commandments are not allowed on the wall next to the flag, where some can't even say the pledge anymore.
3. Homosexual relations are taught to be ok.
4. They give birth control instead of abstinence.
This is just to name a few. Kids rule the house, not the parents. Everything is handed to them on a gold platter. The sense of responsibility is gone. There are a lot of single parent households where that parent works all the time and has no idea what their kid is doing. Morals and respect, sadly it has left our society. what do we do? Blame ourselves, the government, your neighbors, TV, the internet, it is all linked together and we have created monsters in this world. So many people on prescription meds as well as illegal drugs and why? The stress of the world. The end of time is here, we all better get ready.

Children in Israel go to school everyday wearing bulletproof vests and escorted by an armed- family member. Americans need to get with it. Guns will do more to protect - than they ever will to hurt. There needs to be more armed good guys. Schools could have a gun locked up where two teachers or a principal and a teacher each have a key and both keys needed to open it. They could be trained in use of a firearm - i do like the post from "shutup dummy" too.

If I help a fellon get a gun and he commits a crime I share his sentence. How is it that there are parents of school shooters who aren't in prison? I bet if the news cameras interviewed them in their prison Oranges rather than their cozy double-wide, parents with guns would be serious as cancer in keeping their kids in line.

your right. Texas schools is teaching the kids how to protect there self's when some crazed, deranged moron goes in there like a wild animal. all of America needs to do the same.

It would be nice to be able to teach our children by example that cooperation and love is better than competition and hate, but how many adults can provide that example. Who are our roll models? Who are our heroes?

we could arm a minorty of teachers, where only the school board knows exactly who is armed and make sure that the teachers themselves are well trained in that area...
