Hi,
I have a quickie for most Flash experts. My client would like to have the back color of the text to be changed to grey-blue. Anyone have suggestions?

Contrary to what Mohamed wrote just above, you do provide enough information to attempt to answer your question. :)

I do believe you don't want to change the color of your logo as he assumes but the color in back of the letters that fly around your globe. They are now a turquoise color and you wish them to be more grey-blue.

This is quite difficult to change in your file because the effect is made with advanced actionscript that the programmer tried to encrypt by using numbers instead of regular variable names and some overly complex (and sometimes useless) bits of programming!

How do I know this? I decompiled the swf file with SWF Decompiler.

If you have access to the fla file, I have a pretty good idea where you could affect the color in the code.

Open the file in Flash, locate the green symbol above and to the left of the Earth. Double-click it to Edit it in place. Select the symbol in it and do the same again: double click it to edit it. Open the Actions panel and select the top frame. If you are in the right symbol, the code in the actions panel will start with this code:

function attachSymbol(FlatEID)

If you see this code, then you are in the right symbol. Go down the code in the Actions panel until you see something that says:

clFlat.setRGB(nclF);

(it was at line 215 on my screen)

setRGB in Flash is the code that affects color. The original author of this file went to great lenght to make variable nclF be as complicated as possible but you don't need to understand the programmer's intention and can simply override the attempts to obfuscate the code by changing nclF with a color value! Try this:

clFlat.setRGB(0x88AACC);

88AACC is a grey-blue color in hexadecimal values (the values recognized by Flash).

To tweak the code is the only way to change the color of the font in this file. Even then, it is not sure to work since the programmer went to great lengths to prevent other people from editing the code.

It might be easier to ask the original programmer to make the changes or to go with a simpler effect.

Hi,
The information given is quite insuffient. But it depends what design you used inoder to create the flash animation.

This is my assumption which this reply would be based upon. Most likely you used a SYMBOL object for the logo image. The reason why I said that, is simply because of the transparency look of that logo.

Now there is two ways to change the grey to blue.
_POSSIBILITY 1____________________
a) click on the symbol (logo),
b) goto the properties panel (bottom of the screen)
c) look at the "color" area.
d) Now the "Alpha" level must not be 100, if its less than a hundred, than you have some transparency.
e) Remember the number it is currently at, and then change the value to 100%.
f) If it is already at a 100, check the advanced setting..
g) Once your done, change the color normally to blue
h) after your done the color to the one you need, apply the transparency again from redoing step a..

_POSSIBILITY 2____________________
Redesign it :)

Have a great day.!

You assign particular identity or variety to the table you opt to regulate. Please do now not forget that td is stubborn and does now not "inherit" precise (so a recommendations as CSS useful properties bypass). So, if it is in actuality say your first row you prefer color maroon then you definately definately could prefer to try this: CSS would be: tr.first td { color: #c00; } and the html: table td stuff626726e6bd1215f36719a308a25b798 td more626726e6bd1215f36719a308a25b798 ... /tr tr td ... /tr table ...and prefer that CSS ought to for useful bypass indoors the two an outdoors CSS checklist stated as up by using a
