You could try Eragon and The Eldest; those are by Christopher Paolini. Maybe the Anne of Green Gables series by L.M.Montgomery. Ummmm.......The Wizard of Oz.......there's a whole bunch of Oz books, like around 13 by the original author L.Frank Baum, and lots more by other people. I almost hate to mention Harry Potter, because those seem to be the ones so many people recommend, but they're good books.
You might check out this website to get some titles or authors:

Hope this helps ya! And keep on reading!!

A book called "The Secret Life of Bees" by Sue Monk Kidd.
I work at a library and always tell others to read this great book.
Also, books by Philip Gulley. They are very funny and heartwarming. If you like adventure Anthony Horowitz's books-The Alex Rider series are very good.

Omg! I just finished the Uglies Trilogy. It has the Uglies, Pretties, and Specials. It is the best 3 books I've ever read! You won't regret reading this at all. You'll laugh, you'll cry. Awesome :) It is by Scott Westerfeld.
