There were no future Hall of Famers playing for the Yankees when Ruth was traded from the Red Sox. The closest would have been Frank Baker who played for the Yankees from 1916 - 1919 and then again from 1921 -1922. Baker was a third baseman his entire career, so Ruth, who was a pitcher and right fielder, didn't take his place. To answer your question, I don't think Ruth took the place of a future Hall of Famer, so the only future Hall of Famer that he could have replaced was the Red Sox uniform that he replaced with a Yankees uniform.
