If you havn't see it it is an amazing movie about the crusades it shows the story from the perspctive of catholic knights, protestant knights and the muslims it is a unique perspective that I have not seen in movies about the crusades. I find the whole thing interesting both historical and in entertainment aspects. Does anyone have an opinion of the movie is you've seen it? and I do admit Orlando Bloom is a very interesting character in the movie.

I've watched it a number of times on Max. It's an excellent movie for the same reasons you mentioned. Oddly enough, I especially appreciated the scrolling at the end of the movie describing the difficulty of the next crusade that came along (led by King Richard of England) and of course, the glaring fact that the whole mess is still not settled after all this time.

I loved this movie. It put real all the boring crap they taught us in school about the 2nd crusades. I don't remember any protestant knights though. They weren't the knights of templar. It goes to show that theres always some bozo that tries to start crap and someone else has to clean up the pieces.

i have watch it long time ago but im wondering how come he didn't know his father is one great ruler? the crusaders fight till they die. i guess it all depicted during medieval times that they fight for their beliefs and stand side by side with their king. this movie remind me of excalibur and the newer version of king arthur movies. except his association with the wife of the rival, that was something else.., and orlando really portray his role on that one like the way he did in lord of the ring except the hair coloring

It is a cinematic masterpiece though i thought the sound track a bit slow. You can do cultural and not sound like a wake. I was pleased to see more realistic sword fights. None of this stop action speed frame garbage that makes it impossible to follow the action.
