so if the ball lands fair and bounces out before 1st/3rd base, its foul. and if it lands fair and bounces out after 1st/3rd base, its still fair....but what if it bounces OVER 1st/3rd base? fair or foul?

Over the bag or even hitting it, it is a fair ball. The base is in fair territory.

If it goes over 1st/3rd base it would be a fair ball

If you look at a baseball field, you'll see that the bases are within fair territory; therefore, if the ball hits the base then it's fair.

Note also that the foul lines themselves are considered fair territory, so if a ball hits the line it's still fair.

fair because the base is considered part of the foul line if the ball goes over the bag or hits it it is fair!!! so argue that call everytime and tell them to check the rule book!

if a bounding ball bounces over 1st or 3rd base then it is a fair ball.

regardless of if it goes over the bag or not, it only matters where the ball lands. if the ball was called fair or foul when it goes over the bag, there would always be controversy and arguments.
