They sacrificed them by cutting out their hearts when they were still alive. Like in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, except that was in India. How Aztec!

Some times they'd cut out their hearts - while they were still alive and make a sacrifice to their gods. They'd sacrifice their hearts and throw their bodies down the side of their pryamid-like structures.

they were prisoners of war anda acording to their status its the way they ere treated if they were brave warriors they were treated as brave warriors but all of them were sacrificated to the gods
