It's the beginning of the Holiday season! We get all of the fall decorations out of the attic and decorate the front yard for Halloween and the kids get real excited about dressing up and start talking about what they want to be. The weather gets a little less hot and all the stores have candy and fall decorations out.

I used to love Halloween when I was living in Ireland.Where I was living all the neighbours would get together and make a huge bomb fire, while the children played and then the children would go trick or treating, and after that the neighbours would get together for a few drinks.here in Australia, there is nothing like that, but my husband and I are going to have a small party and have a bomb fire.

Halloween is my favorite holiday! I can give out candy and make kids happy. People are happy with candy at halloween but if you give gifts at christmas, birthdays or valentine people get pick and the food is not as good.

I like to cut up pumkins!! and put candles in them.

My favorite part is making treats for my son's class. Every year I try to make something different. He is in 3rd grade and there are a few children that he has been in the same room with since kindergarten and they all get excited when they see me coming through the door with my treats. I also like making candy apples for the children on my street. They know to come to my house for their candy apples before they start trick or treating.

The die hard Christians who are preachy and judgmental for the proceeding months come together and are so nice on All Hallow's Eve, basically a Pagan holiday spruced up by the Catholic Church. That always warms my heart that we Heathens and our Christian brethren have so much more in common than one expects. **sigh**
