We need to beat Oakland 3 more times and we're going to the World Series. I think we can do it, we beat the Yankees, and everyone thought we couldn't. Any comments?

You have to remember that Oakland is a tougher team to beat than the yankees. They have better pitching and thier offense is a heck of a lot more better!
The Tigers have a lot of work to do, and it's not over yet.
Enjoy the game, and know if The Tigers do lose (I hope not) that he next 3 games are at Comercia Park, where they are they havent lost a post season game ever.

I believe the Tigers are the odds on favorite to win the world series -- no matter who they end up playing from the NL.
This looks like it is the Tigers year.
They overcame that late season slump and are playing very well right now. Their pitching is what sets them apart from the other clubs. They have several young guys who are unbelievable pitchers with great arms.
I hope they win it all.

Detroit has dropped off the radar since the All-Star break and their ipening round win sure opened some eyes. I believed they'd make it to the WS since day 1. Weither they'll win or not is another question. I doubt they will. Detroit has tailed off a little since the All-Star break while some NL teams have picked it up big time. Detroit will make it in, but will lose.
