poe was a great writer but not in his time He was in love with his cousin, Virginia Eliza Clemm. She die young and that left poe depressed, he wrote the poem Annabel Lee for her. he grieve for her.
He married a second time, a widow.
It has been said that he was a drunk, and a drepress homeless person. If you read some of the latest biographies you will find that this was not true. I love poe's writing, there will be one one like him. "Only this, and nothing more." The Raven is one of my favorite poems.

One of the greatest writers ever, and obviously my favorite :-)
He was the creator of the short story, and his poems are amazing as well. My favorite poem is in fact 'The Raven' and my favorite story is probably 'The Tell-Tale Heart', though I enjoy 'The Fall of the House of Usher' and 'The Masque of the Red Death' as well.
