Conservatives do not live and die by polls (contact groups)! I believe your figures, what ever they, are are faulty.

The American people need to SHAME the desperate Republican party by voting this year's candidates completely out of office. The Republicans who are left (because they are not candidates this year), will learn DIPLOMACY from the Democrats because they will then come together for a good future for America.
The Republicans should be thankful for the lenient punishment of simply leaving office because If this were the 1600's, they would be shackled in irons and horsewhipped.
The lowly Republican protectors pretend the bullheaded Republican Party leaders did nothing wrong but they are all traitors to the US citizen. They sucked out the US wealth through a phony "global economy" that they sold on everyone, and then put America in harms way by spawning thousands of guerrilla fighters in Iraq and the Middle East and then call them "terrorists". This "terrorism" plan does not make Republicans hero's, only complete failures.
Shame them now and monitor the rigged voting machines from this day forward. Republicans win by descending on polling stations after the last vote is taken, but don't let them in the polling stations that this year. Write your election officials today.

The problem with polls is they cause complacency. People see their choice leading and decide that they don't need to vote because their guy is in the lead. This results in what we saw in '04.
I have noticed a vast majority of "attack ads" come from whatever party is trailing, in this case the Republicans. The Dems seem to be running all the issue-based ads this year, while the Republicans, with their "Contract for America" in flames, have gone on the defensive.
My honest opinion is, unless you are one of the very few with really good representation in Washington, vote against any incumbent. The only way to get rid of the stench is with a good "house" cleaning...

As a Latina republican, I can say that I'm not feeling desperate. In the political game...it always goes back and forth. A few years the democrats lead....then a few years it the republicans.
As for covering up things...they aren't the only ones that do that. Remember ...the press puts spins on stories...and events. Truth is always involved but with a spin. Its up to us as citizens to read up ....look a facts instead of just listening to news/polls. You can get any answer you want from a poll...its all in the wording.
I'm with you....it would be great to see the political field go in another direction but that doesn't seem to be possible. Both parties are too busy trying to put a spin on things...trying to say all the things their party wants to hear.

I use the Clinton-Hate scale to calculate how much trouble the GOP is in. The more trouble the Republicans are in the more often they blame things on Former President Clinton, a man who hasn't been in charge of the country for over 6 years. When news came out that Bush recieved briefs that Bin Laden was going to attack the US and didn't act on them I heard Clinton blamed for various problems about 85 times a week. Since the Child Rape scandal arouse I'm seeing a number 25-26 times that, so I'm guessing they're pretty much freaking out to here-to-fore unprecidented levels

The polls mean nothing. The only import one is in November. These polls can be skewed by the people doing the polls for the people who want the polls done. A polling group can get exactly the results by the questions they ask and how many more Dims they ask than the other parties. Remember the exit polls for President in 2004?

How desperate are the lib-tards and the dim-witted Dems to place their pathetic hopes on these bogus polls?
How many Republicans drove drunk and killed a woman ala Ted Kennedy?
How many Republican Presidents have been dragged into civil court for assult and rape ala Clinton?
Here, entertain yourself since getting a grip on reality is seemingly beyond you...
Doctor Joe had slept with one of his patients and had felt guilty all day long. No matter how much he tried to forget about it, he couldn't.
The guilt and sense of betrayal was overwhelming. But every once in a while he'd hear that soothing voice, within himself, trying to reassure him: "Joe, don't worry about it. You aren't the first doctor to sleep with one of their patients and you won't be the last. And you're single. Let it go. "
But invariably the other voice would bring him back to reality:
"Joe, you're a vet!"

If they fail at keeping us afraid they will not win because they cannot win on down-on-the-farm issues. They provoked N.Korea by shutting them out of the world banks six days after China and Russia came up with an agreement.

It'll be tough to turn the country around during the next two years before the next presidential election. Whichever party wins, they'll have their hands full, and odds are we'll be blaming them for whatever failures there are between this election and the next.

your question should be how happy are we with the choices we have .. if you lived in pa like me i hate all of them but i will vote regardless and i will vote party lines because i don't know what to expect from the new ones and i kinda know how bad it is already with the old ones..the lesser of two evils!
