To use the chat effects, you will need to write the code, and a colon
( : ) right after it with no space, and then your message without a space before the first word. For example, writing red:Hello would make you say "Hello" with a red font, but if you throw in a space and write red: Hello, you would actually say "Red: Hello" in game... Here is a full list of the codes:
COLOUR CODES:
Red: Text is red
Yellow: Text is yellow (default colour)
Green: Text is green
Cyan: Text is cyan
Purple: Text is purple
White: Text is white
Flash1: Flashes between red and yellow text
Flash2: Flashes between cyan and blue
Flash3: Flashes between light and dark green
Glow1: Text fades from red, to orange, to yellow, to green, to cyan
Glow2: Text fades from red, to magenta, to blue, to dark red, to red
Glow3: Text fades from white, to green, to white, to cyan
MOVEMENT CODES:
Wave: Text moves up and down.
Wave2: Text waves diagonally.
Shake: Text shakes bizarrely.
Slide: Text slides from up to down.
Scroll: Text scrolls from right to left.

Note: If you wish for the text to both wave and have a red colour, put the colour code first
Ex. red:wave:then your message
remember to have this ":" included
This list is complete and no other codes exist. Unless jagex added more.

Red: Red Text. Green: Green Text. Blue: (Dark) Blue Text. White: White Text. Yellow: Yellow Text. (Default, so really no effect) There's various animations, but I can't remember them all. However, try: Wave1/2: Flash1/2/3:
