U know java and c++. Then why do u need to learn another language? Ur question and the suggestions to learn perl, Python, PHP makes no sense to me.

Any language is OK to go on, Python is good to proceed with; other than being somewhat restrictive with syntax for the sake of readable code it is great otherwise.

PHP is pretty good fun, and pretty much like c++. Have you considered learning C#? It can help to learn a bit of SQL too...
Personally I love Delphi :) Easy, powerful, sexy, cuddly.

I think advance java ,C#.net and asp.net is best for you to learn because C#.net is also a same like a java and current C#.net and asp.net market is favourite.
