Okay, so exams are this week and I'm really stressing out. I have been getting C's on my tests in college when I was an A student in high school. All I do is study, I don't hang out with ppl (except for around meals) and I go to school, work, and study. I set one night aside each week for my boyfriend and besides that I'm reading and trying to learn. But, right now the road to nursing looks so far away. I'm only in my first semester and I have so far to go. What can I do to handle this stress. I don't like talking to ppl about it because I can't without crying and I refuse to cry infront of people. So instead I bottle it all up inside of me and now I need help releasing it. Any advice out there for little stressed out me?

Don't worry babe, same things happens to me and I am a junior in college studying biology which is quite difficult.

You are a freshman so don't worry about it much, soon you will adjust to your new lifestyle and environment.

Don't feel bad if you aren't going that much as before, many students go through this even me.

But remember this: Right now you don't understand because you are young, but when you have your own job and your freedom to do whatever you want with your money you worked your *** for, you will have no regrets.

Surround yourself with people who understand you. There would be people that is going to criticize you for spending too much time studying but don't worry about it, in a few years you will be a professional and you will have more control of your life.

I sometimes joke around with my classmates when we have too much work to release some stress because we are going through the same thing, and this isnt easy for anyone.

Oh and about the C's, if you are getting C's in your math courses find a tutor or ask your classmates to help you. I panicked and (I still do) when I get low grades in certain classes but that just makes me study harder for the next one.

Good luck :)

College, as you're finding out, is a different experience. One of the important things you can learn in college is how to learn from other students.

Try to set up study time with them. There's no reason to think that you're the only one struggling.

It's also fine to talk to your instructors if you're having a particular problem in their course. They can suggest supplemental materials or different strategies you can use to get through the material.

Good luck!

Yoga, long runs, meditation.
Those could all help release some of the tension and stress.
