Ok, i hate the fone for many reasons, Awkward pauses and trying to get off the phone. How do you prevent awkward pauses, and give me a list of excuses u use to get off the phone.

I feel for you.....I also hate talking on the phone and the awkward pauses, especially if I'm talking to a woman, I feel like I'm boring her to death because you cannot see her face and reactions to what you're talking about. Anyway here's some I actually used.
I'm getting tired.......and I have to get up early for work.
I'm burning something on the stove.
Someone at the door.
Need to get your cloths out of the dryer before they wrinkle.
Dog is scratching at the door to come in or go out.
If you have call waiting, call your land phone from your cell phone and say either yourself, your Mom, Dad, wife expecting important call from hospital, doctor, work, etc.
Or you're working on your car and waiting on a call back from your mechanic friend.
You have to go and pick up pizza you have on order.
Just got out of the shower, can I call you back.
Can I call you back, I have to go to the bathroom.

1. there's a movie on
2. some people just stopped by....
3. phone battery is about to die....
4. at someone's house and it's rude to hang on the phone
5. say "i hate the phone" talk to ya later or I'll stop by some time
6. gotta run to the store for something(you pick what it is)
7. i'm driving and hate talking while driving
8. phone really getting hot cause i've been on too long
9. i gotta a bunch a crap to do and i've put it off long enough
10. have to wash my hair---that's just funny, but gets the point across
11.have to go take a ****
12.neighbor just knocked on the door and needs your help really bad moving something
13. cleaning out your car
14. my mom is on the other line and i have to take it

ummmm about the akward pauses you can just keep starting new conversations untill they want to talk:
My excuses lol!
1. I tell them i have to go to the bathromm and that ill call them back. And then later tell them your phone died
2. its bad connection here
3. just say i gotta go
4. hang up the phone and if they try to call back dont answer

Everyone has pauses in conversation, it is to start a new topic. As for getting of the phone, say "my cake is burning"

well if you are still in school justsay you have to get back to homework! if you aren't in school then say you hav another call on the other line and you prtend to check and then you say something like it's the phone company or something like that.

If conversation slows down, tell her/him your mom needs to use the phone and that you will talk to them at school tomorrow.

If I want to really get off the phone, I say, "Oh my God, my house is on fire!"
