The first line in my essay is:
It has been roughly six months since I have arrived in the United States of America, and I still vividly remember the day I left my native country, India.
I have to revise it so that the first line starts with a quotation, a question or an interesting story.
Any ideas, anyone?

Think of something very stressful that happened, and what did you think in your head and put that in quotes.
