He can beg and beg and beg, but for me it all comes to one fact. People's stupidity and obnoxious nature come to a height when they are drunk. Your mouth overrides your brain and oh the apologies some have to give. Do I think those apologies are real? Yep, really self-serving. The offender is rarely truly sorry for feeling the way they do, they are just sorry that they opened their big mouth and told the world. So an "I'm sorry" doesn't really impress me much. Yeah, I've been guilty of such stupidity myself and I have forgiven others. But you never forget.

First of all, I'm not so important as to have some stranger "beg" a pardon from me. Second, I don't have the divine right to forgive or not forgive anybody.

As far as I'm concerned, he is entirely entitled to whatever his opinions might be. I may not agree with those opinions, but I certainly have no right to demand he apologize for them or change them.

I will continue to watch his movies simply because I see no link whatsoever between that and some opinions he might or might not have.

Forgive him? I say IGNORE him! Any attention you give him just encourages him to do more.

Leave the man alone. Everybody! That includes the tabloids, the news, gossip columnists, theater marquees (I wish). The less I hear about him, the better. What a pain!

I will still go see his stupid movies, but as Mel Gibson the man, well I think he's stupid for getting caught saying the things he did.

If you can't forgive, then don't expect to be forgiven.
Mel Gibson is ok. It takes guts to beg for forgiveness.
