And if I buy a new one what color should I get? l like the pink, blue, and silver but not sure which one I would want.

well, if you want it to look fancy get the new one, if you want to keep 50 bucks in your pocket get the old one. They are basically the same thing.

Dont ever buy the old one. No way. If money is a big factor, get the ZenV. Take a look at the reasons
-Same features as Ipod Nano
-Cheaper (1Gb-$89 2Gb-$119)
-Much more durable
-Better audio quality
-Completely scratch-resistant couted
-Cuter style
Take a look reviews.cnet.com and search for ZenV. Dont buy the ZenVplus though. Movie in that type of screen can't be any crappier.

its up to you because if u want a better ipod i suggest you get a new ipod unless your on a low budget you should just buy an old i pod.. for 100 bucks.In my opinion i think you should get a new ipod because later u may have problems with the old ipod and it might not work so you are gona have to think carefully..
About colors if u want a pink ipod nano-thats really cute but to girlish sometimes and if u want a blue ipod that looks cool and chic but silver is a color for everything and not to girly but not to boyish but i think blue is cool so i hope this advie will solve your problem

umm i think you should buy the old one as long as it has the same amount of space and isn't messes up. color doesn't matter anyway, you're probably just going to put a case on it. and that way if you buy the old one you will have extra cash for the case and maybe some songs on itunes (or other things that you might want)

Better going the extra $50 and get a new one with a guarantee and box and since your female a pink one would suit you more (no offence meant)

Please do not listen to these people telling you to get the new one, they are both the same!!!!!! Only thing is the other one in colors. I have the old nano and bought the new one for my niece, no difference but color!!!! Please be smart about this!!!!

get a new one they electronics inside gradually quit working i think they only last 4 or 5 years. you decide the color.

the new one because it wont break easily, and nanos tend to crack their screens quite fast
