First, make a backup of you data (eg. disk, external hard drive).
Organise all files into useful folders.
Search for any duplication of files & remove.
Delete files you no longer need or want.
Run disk clean-up programs (search www.tucows.com)

Go to Add or Remove programs on your control panel. Also run a disk cleanup and disk defragmenter, both found under system tools.

control panel then just uninstall the software you dont use anymore do not remove any windows files and just remove the junk you dont use anymore
