I'd like them to have more "free time". Their flight feather's are trimmed. Is it safe?

Hawks don't attack peacocks, but when it can't find food it might. And if it did,yes it could kill,by diving, but if the flight feathers are trimmed than it won't be able to dive(and it wont be safe)properly, for which it wont be able to kill a peacock, but will end up just injuring it.

We used to have a Harris hawk that attacked Canadian geese. She couldn't kill them by herself we had to finish them off. but this was because she got attacked by a goose when she was younger. I don't think a hawk would attack a peacock unless it was desperate, the "eyes" on the tail won't scare the hawk just the size of the bird will make it think twice and also if there are people around often it won't bother coming down

A pea hen might have to worry about Ferruginous or Goshawk and certainly Golden Eagles, and even Great Horned Owls, but I don't think a grown male Peacock has to worry about anything smaller than a golden eagle. Aquilla must know about hawks because her name is the genus of a golden eagle (spelled a little differently

They definitely kill and eat baby peacocks. I just lost a 6 week old peachick, in a pen, to a red tailed hawk.

A large hawk will attack a pheasant. I guess peacocks are somewhat larger? And of course they will attack chickens.

I don't think hawks would be a problem for adult peacocks. Pea chicks and adolescents might be in some danger, though.

Not that I've noticed, and even if it happens, the peacocks seem to breed faster (Arcadia and Angeles Nat'l Forest) than predators eat them. Beware of coyotes, though.

Depends what the peacock does to it.

Probably not while it is fanning. those big eye looking things in its tail would scare the crap out of a hawk.
