There are always the people who seem to not notice or care when a girl might slap a guy. They might even support her is the guy did something really bad. but a guy slaps a girl, it is considered a crime, even if hte gilr did something nasty. I mean, they both hit as hard, but the way they are treated is different because of their gender? Geez, what ever happened to gender equality?
Frankly, i think it's almost degrading. It's like they are saying women are so weak adn defensesless that they have to make it a taboo that a guy can't hit a girl, even thought she can hit him.
I am just saying, what do you think?

What makes you think it's ok for a girl to hit a dude? If anybody hits anyone, no matter of their gender, they need to get arrested for battery.

Girl slapping a boy is assault. It's a criminal offence. But it's a pain in the *** and immasculating for a man to pursue the matter given that a girl won't recieve more than a slap on the wrist from most judges. However you'd be suprised at how many people laugh and smile if you immediately slap a girl back after she slaps you. Nobody approves of a woman committing violence against a man.

Actually, they don't both hit as hard. But I agree, there is a double standard in place. However, there are so many advantages that both sexes are given over the other, that it would be impossible to just pick a starting place - like hitting, for instance- and start unraveling. Much better to let things find their own level as we change as a society. Besides, we all know the social rules in place, and most of us can follow them. You aren't supposed to hit anybody unless you are in danger, and then if you're protecting yourself nobody will care if it's a guy or girl that you just knocked out.

No man should hit a woman. Sorry, but that is the way my hubby was raised and the way I will raise my two sons. Unless, of course, the woman is trying to kill them. Then it's self-defense.
Face it. Any guy can keep a woman off them, but that doesn't mean they have to hit her back.
Gender equality? There is no such thing despite the feeble attempts by the so-called feminist movement. Violence against women is a real issue. Don't belittle it.

I feel that every human has a right to defend themselves. If a girl punches a guy in the face and continues to attack him then I think he has every right to hit her back. Now if there is a 5'2 100lb chick beating on a 6'0 220lb guy then I think that guy should just slap her or push her and roll out because that height and weight diff. it wouldn't be right for him to beat her up. But as a general rule don't dish out what you can't take.

I agree, but there is a "domestic" history guys from the past have abused. Some men like to beat on women, and in cases women are over powered, for example look at the satstics in rape, a lot more women have been physically forced by men opposed to the vice versa

Dude I think that no one should hit anyone at all. But no I do not believe that a girl should be able to hit a guy and that a guy should not be able to hit a girl. It make the girl look in-superior to the guy.

Sounds like you are trying to rationalize your actions.
Unless you enjoy being in abusive relationships just get a way from her if things get that bad.
You are trying to control her by using fear instead of trying to understand her.
(I have hit a lot of males who displeased me however.) WAG

I would never hit anyone weaker than me in anger, but if I am in physical danger I would hit a girl in a second.
