I'm using a program called ATI TV WONDER PRO - I can pull video clips from VHS or DVD and put them on my computer as either MPEG's or AVI's but if I record longer than 1 minute - the file is too large to email to anyone I want to share it with - since ISP's only allow so big a file. I need to compress itso I can send up to a 20 minute clip. I know it can be done other people have large clips that can be sent directly. I called ATI tech support and they said that they have nothing to do with the compression of the file - that their only concern is being able to pull the clip. Can someone help me with easy instructions as I'm still learning things.

Compressing the video to a smaller size will not work unless you reduce the quality of the video. If you want to send the files to a free server where they can be downloaded by your receiver, use http://www.yousendit.com/ . it's free and simple.
