Yes, of course. As long as they are of the correct type (which they are, otherwise you wouldn't have been able to install the new one, and the old one wouldn't have beenin there lol), they will be fine. The only problem you may encounter is if the motherboard doesn't support more than 256MB memory. In that case, then no.

relies upon on how long you propose on having the laptop how plenty funds you could spend. The overall performance improve additionally relies upon on what varieties of activities you do, and how many classes you generally have working at as quickly as...additionally on what working equipment you're working. To make a protracted answer short nonetheless, i'd guess you will see a great progression by upgrading your RAM. Your classes will load speedier. Your internet connection does no longer be speedier, yet tremendously in case you have somewhat some historic past classes working, it might run smoother. How plenty to boost it relies upon on all your utilization behavior. that's actually properly worth $30 nonetheless.

Yes, you can do that. A couple precautions though:
- make sure it is the currect type of RAM (PC3200, PC133, etc.).
- make sure your BIOS can support that much RAM, which it probably can.
- depending on the type of memory you have, it may be affordable, and practical, to buy a 512MB stick instead.
- www.pcmag.com is a great site for computer info, including upgrades, sustaining, and hacking. You should check it out, there are all kinds of guides on there for this kind of stuff. You can also check the web site for you computer's manufacturer, they probably have a guide too.
