Last time i went away it ended up costing me a fortune in caspoint charges every time i withdrew money...very frustrating - valuable spendind money down the drain!! Is there any British or other( i live in uk ) Bank who do not charge to use an ATM machine abroad?
I need one which is dead easy to set up as i will not be paying a regular wage into it!!

I used Nationwide, no problems using the card in Kenya or Tanzania for six months and best of all no charges. When you set up the account just make sure that you set up a standing order to cover the minimum payments on the credit card if you use it.

The HSBC do an account but a think there is amonthly charge for it, but it will probably be a lot less than the ATM fee everytime

yes nationewide im with them and they dont charge you for withdrawels while you are abroad
