[i think there is something you can do - you can start the long walk back up the hill to liberty, equality and fraternity, the true american & human dream, self-reconstruction, selflove, justly limited fortunes, peace, safety, order, quietness, sobered pursuit of yr own happiness, good sense, wisdom, common sense, sanity, away from yr selfdestructive 5000-yr love affair with unjustly unlimited fortunes]

[even if u achieve it only individually, not societally, it is everything to be sane, healthy, selfloving, in serious pursuit of yr happiness]

You can. And millions do. According to a survey I saw quoted in the Asheville newspaper in NC, about 35% of Americans have values consistent with this list of priorities.

It manifests in the growth of Buddhism among white Americans and other spiritualities, and in ecological consciousness..... among other things.
