Slope intercept form is y = mx + b
So, rearrange the equation so that it is in that form.
4x - y - 3 = 0
4x - 3 = y
y = 4x - 3
m = 4
b = -3
Draw a line with slope 4 and y-intercept -3.
One point is (0, -3).
Other points are (1, 1), (2, 5), (3, 9), etc.
(Every time you increase x, increase y by 1.)

I'll go ahead and check my answer.
Is (0, -3) a valid point?
Well, plug in x and y and see if it satisfies the equation.
4x - y - 3 = 0 ?
4(0) - (-3) - 3 = 0?
0 + 3 - 3 = 0?
Yes.

Is (1, 1) a valid point?
4x - y - 3 = 0 ?
4(1) - 1 - 3 = 0 ?
4 - 1 - 3 = 0 ?
Yes.

4x-y-3 = 0 first must be changed to slope intercept which would be y=-3-4x
to find the intercepts you must replace either y (to find the x intercept) or x (to find the y intercept) with 0.
x - intercept is then -3/4
y - intercept is then -3

y=-4x-3

Start out at (0,-3), then go down four and one to the right. and do that again. Then draw your line.
