The song is actually based around the Harehills riots in Leeds, the city that the band originate from. The riots were racially fueled and lasted a couple of weeks. As someone coming from Leeds I can say pretty confidently its not a portrayal of night time town centre life in the UK

yes! having driven through cities at night I'd say it was pretty accurate. you should see the legions of drunken idiots. not nice at all. I am sorry to report that the town in question was Manchester. The strangest thing i ever saw was at 3 in the morning - A woman in full white bridal dress was running like crazy along the side of the A580. Wierd and disturbing. Cities are no place to be at nights.
