If you look hard enough, you can find sources claiming that EVERYTHING is bad for you.
However, if you consume large amounts of fiber but don't drink enough water, it can actually plug you up worse, which could be bad. So, drink lots of water with you fiber, and you'll see the benefits.

Contrary to what one poster posed, meat (beef) is 4/5ths fiber (muscle meats). Organs do not have this same feature. This is one of the reasons fowl and fish are so highly recommended. Plus, they also supply a greater amount of protein per gram of intake.

Without fiber ( preferably natural ) everything you eat would get backed up. Experiment, trying going a couple of days eating only meat, eggs and cheese ( fruits, vegges & grains have fiber ) and see how your body handles it.

There are different types of fibre. It depends what type you are having and the form you are having it in. The 'added fibre' in cereals is not necessarily a good thing.
