Have you noticed a change in sports commentary?

I have noticed that even local sport comnentators are finding it easier to be over critical of teams, sometimes downright negative. Is this so they can say "I called it" if they are right or "I'd rather be wrong on this" when they are wrong?

Yes, you're right. With all the hypocrisy and cheating going on in professional sports today, everyone seems to be much more critical and ready to think the worst of today's athletes. And I also don't like the TV commentators who talk to the camera instead of the other people on the set with them.
