The parents could file statutory rape charges against the 18 year old boy. She is too young to even consider marriage or to know what love is.
It's a shame she is pregnant. This should be left strictly between the girl, boy and both sets of parents to discuss and determine what the next step should be. I hope you will be a good friend to her during this time and try not to be judgemental toward the parents and with their difficult decisions to be made.

If she is at the age of consent no. Alot of people are ignorant and wrongly believe 18 is the only age of consent. Alot of states it is 16 and most states with the age at 18 make provisions for the age of the sexual partner. Since a baby is involved NO state will try to break up a family if they are doing what they are supposed to do and doing what is right for their child.

Depends on the state statutes of legal age.
Best he hire a lawyer and know his rights and the rights for his 16 yo girlfriend. They may be able to legally elope. But best that they confront the situation like adults and talk with the parents on both sides. They need the parents support to make the relationship last and help support them when the baby comes.

I went through the same thing. He can get in-trouble. First you have to find out how her parents would react to her situation. If you know the parents will go crazy and want to report him to the police; I think it would be wise not to tell the parents its the boyfriends baby. Not yet. Of course they will assume its her boyfriend. But she should deny it until the parents cool down and reality kicks in. Her parents will understand. It just takes time. Shes still their baby girl. They will want the best for their daughter and future grandson.

It depends upon the state that they live in. AZ-they usually don't prosecute an 18 year old for being with a 16 year old. BUT-some states do if the parents of the minor are mad enough.

Not any more than he's allready in. I have no doubt they're in love this week but your friend needs to look at a longer term. She can't count on an 18 year hold who isn't smart enough to wear a rubber to Father her family. She needs to do better. As her friend you should really encourage her to talk to her parents about this, hold her hand if she needs the support but she can't do this on her own.

It depends on what state they live in. Some states' age of consent is 16 some are 18,19, or 21. If no one reports it to social services, then nothing will probably happen. I wish them luck, its tough enough to raise a kid nowadays, especially when they are so young themselves.

He can get in a lot of trouble. The pregnancy is proof that he committed a crime: statutory rape.
As far as them being in love....they may be. But they should have saved the unprotected sex for later when they were mature enough to handle the consequences.

That is considered rape. Which is a feleny. Which will lead to jail for a good 10 years. Which will lead to falier in job interviews ( bosses dont want people that have been in jail for rape!). His life is pretty much ruined. It would have been better if he/her was older but yall didnt wanna wait.
