Make her Honey Chicken. It's fast to make and VERY easy!

Here's the recipe:

One stick of butter/margarine (you can use a little less...3/4 stick_
one-half cup honey
one-quarter cup yellow mustard
one teaspoon salt
one teaspoon curry powder

Melt in the microwave.

Place chicken breasts (or thighs) in a pan (I buy the kind with no skin). Pour the sauce over the chicken and bake, uncovered, for one hour. Baste the chicken every 15 minutes or so.

Serve with steamed rice (if you want, buy a carton at a Chinese restaurant!) and peas or another green veggie you like.

This recipe is delicious and SO easy!

How nice of you! Have fun!

I do ok if I keep it simple but I tell you, the kitchen is a dangerous place for people like me.
However, there is one (somewhat exotic) dish that I think is almost guaranteed that she will like, and it requires very little cooking.
I'm talking about Asian salad... the kind with grilled chicken (I mean geez how hard can it be to grill a few pieces of chicken breast) and with tangerines and as far as I'm concerned, the secret ingredient is SESAME OIL. and you need VERY LITTLE, because too much sesame oil will ruin it, but a small amount will give it that exotic taste that goes so well with the tangerines and ginger.
here's a recipe

okay...this is very easy and inexpensive...
buy 2 boxes of Pasta Roni (parmesan and herb). Follow directions on box (takes all of 10 min)...then as you pull the pot off the stove you add salad shrimp (the little ones) and about 1/2 cup thawed frozen peas. Mix together and serve with a simple salad and garlic bread. Very yummy and looks very pretty when done.

Well then buy a nice, big take away of something she likes or something like chinese food and neatly arrange it on the table when she comes.

You can cook but if you are not good at cooking, then it could spoil the whole thing. She'll understand how much you love her.

Good Luck and hope you have a good time

This is mine and my BF's favorite meal...and I'm no whiz in the kitchen! It's super easy and really tasty !! Serve w/ some "instant" wild rice on the side...the ingredients sound wierd, but trust me ....
(I normally double the sauce)
Honey/Mustard Chicken
4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - pounded to 1/2 inch thickness
2 teaspoons seasoning salt
6 slices bacon, cut in half
1/2 cup prepared mustard
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup light corn syrup
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon dried onion flakes
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
2 cups shredded Colby-Monterey Jack cheese
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Directions:
Rub the chicken breasts with the seasoning salt.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until crisp. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, combine the mustard, honey, corn syrup, mayonnaise and dried onion flakes. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Place the breasts in the skillet and saute for 3 to 5 minutes per side, or until browned. Remove from skillet and place the breasts into a 9x13 inch baking dish. Apply the honey mustard sauce to each breast, then layer each breast with mushrooms and bacon. Sprinkle top with shredded cheese.
Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and chicken juices run clear. Garnish with parsley and serve with the reserved honey mustard sauce.

Hope you enjoy - oh, and don't forget to light some candles !

Basic lasagna is not very hard, and is always a hit; compliment it with store-bought or home-made garlic bread, and a tossed salad.
