for example, for murder which is a common law offence, you must consider the definition of murder.

the definition of murder is;
The unlawful killing of a independent person in being, under the King/Queens peace with malice a forethought.
In other words the unlawful intentional killing of a live human being independent of the womb, in peace time.
A dog is obviously not a human being therefore cannot be murdered in the eyes of the law.

yes it is the same and should be. police officer's have a choice if they want to serve on the force. k-9 are chosen and stand there post regardless. they are loyal and brave ready to do there job no matter what. they serve and are very beneficial in our police force.

i dont know if they are ecactly the same but yes they are harsh i believe i think anyone who kills an animal should be put away forever!
