I'm having trouble figuring this out. The question is:
If element 115 has not been synthesized, what will element 117 be: metal, non-metal or metalloid? Can someone please explain this to me? Thanks!

Looks like it should be a semi-metal (metaloid). Metaloids make a stair case flow, starting from boron, down and to the right. Element 117 would be the next element to fall in that line. It should also have properties similar to the halogens.

most likely a metal because of where it would show up on the table following the periodic table's current trends
