When I was in my 20s, I went as Moses, complete with a staff and two tablets, made of concrete, on which I chiseled the 10 commandments in Hebrew. Yes, I know the original was not in Hebrew, but it there are no records of what the language looked like back than.

One year I bought my daughter a multi colored curly haired wig. I painted her face w hite. I used black for around the eyes (decoratively; but sweet) and outlined her lips Wayyyy big around her lips to make a BIG smile. Then I went to the goodwill store and bought her some oversized overalls and an oversized shirt. I cut the shirt bottom and used it for patches to patch all over her pants, to make the pants look worn and old (matching the overalls) I used scissors to cut the bottoms of the pant legs jagged, and I had her wear my dads shoes (so they were oversized!) She was an adorable clown!! you can get away with it, for about 15 bucks? Have fun and good luck!
